Tips and preparation on passing the Call Center interview

Here are some tips which can help you on cracking the interview to any call center companies, specially for the starters who want to be in this industry. Base po ito sa aking experience sa paghahanap ng trabaho to have an alternative source of income aside from performing. Hope makatulong ito sa inyo.
Red Flags during interview:
-
Foghorn like ahhmmm, mmmmm...
-
Magstutter and mumbling.
-
Dead air or silence. Iwasan po ito kasi baka isipin ng interviewer mabagal ka magisip at sumagot.
-
Filler like, basically... actually...
-
Avoid unnecessary movements, like scratching.. etc, eye to eye contact po tayo lagi and smile. Be confident.
-
Turn off your mobile phones!
-
Dont say bad things about your previous company, if you are terminated instead say something good about it kasi panget kung di mo sasabihin because of background checking
-
Don't talk like a robot. Baka kasi isipin nilang kinabisado mo lang mga sinasabi mo at hindi came straight from the heart and mind.
-
Don't say unnecessary things na hindi related sa questions. Be direct to the point or answer straight answers. Baka maging nobela sagot mo at magiging hadlang lang yan sayo para magexplain. Dadami lang ang itatanong sayo ng interviewer.
-
Dapat sa sagot mo team player ang dating at di makasarili na sagot. Kasi sa call center di ka nagtratrabaho magisa, may kateam ka!
-
Don't know why you are there. This is a red flag as well to the interviewer if they find that you don't have any idea of what you are entering. Research first about the job, understand what are its resposibilities and its importance. Ito ang pinaka isa sa dapat nating iprepare dahil included ito sa interview lalo na kung ikaw ay baguhan pa lang sa industry.
As a call center agent in my opinion, you are the one taking calls for the company's customers and clients to get their inquiry; and your importance is, through you, the company can reach out to their customers and client's need by providing quality and satisfying solutions which can improved the company's growth and services in the future.
Another Tips:
-
If kung grammar naman ang ating problema, balik-aral po tayo sa subject+verb agreement at parts of speech lalo na ang prepositions. Ito ay para maiwasan nating maging redundant sa paggamit ng english words na sinasama natin sa mga sentences na sinasabi natin. Avoid liaising and the use of slang words like shouda, coulda, gonna, imma, kailangan clear ang words na sinasabi mo.
-
Basa basa po tayo ng libro and try to read it aloud din to practice pronouncing the words. Consult po tayo kay dictionary para alam natin kung pano magpronounce ng maayos.
-
We have to practice those words with P/F, V/B, T/TH para maging clear kayo magsalita. You can use togue twister para mahasa kayo sa pagbigkas ng mga salitang meron noon. (Reading togue twister fast is not really necessary. Para lang po mahasa yung mga articulators nyo)
-
Prevent being transletarating a tagalog sentence to english. example:
Tumatakbo si Juan=Running is Juan but instead, Juan is running.
Reading books talaga makakatulong sa atin para makuha yung proper grammar since wala naman tayong pwedeng kausaping kano sa bahay.
*Addition, Take a deep breath and say "PUSH!..., AJAH! (korean ang peg), or Gogogo (like in counterstrike haha) sa isip natin pag nsa interview ka na for addional source of confidence
